Fluff right up to the peaks: the editorial for L'Officiel Ukraine takes voluminous teddy coats and furry boots into the high mountains, among snowfields, scree and a deep blue sky. Strong contrast and backlight make images like these exciting and demanding. We cleanly separated the fine fibres from the sky, kept the snow free of colour casts, let the blue run rich and without banding, and deliberately preserved the lens flares as a stylistic device.
